Leaving rainy Oslo for rainy UK has been quite an experience considering just a few days ao I was in Ashland which has been hot and dry all summer. The flight over on Ryanair was easy and when I landed in Stansted airport I was met by a room about he size of a football stadium filled with passengers going through passport control. This was my first time going through the e-passport process which is all electronic. They scan your passport and do the biometric eye scan to verify your identity. It all went rather smooth and efficient.
Rich met me at the airport and I'll get to meet his family over the next few days. He has a charming house in Colchester with a lovely garden that's undergoing some renovations. My next project is the packing for the camino. We're both excited about our three days in Lisbon beforehand. The weather forecast looks like warm and dry.
A bit weary and bleary-eyed from a lack of sleep.
