Santatem to Golega

Another killer day. It started out to be just a 30km day; however the locals decided to reroute the trail so the it passed through several towns and added at least 8km to the distance. Rich calculated that we walked nearly 40km. Boy did I feel it on the feet. The saving grace was having shipped our bags ahead today. We both decided that four back to back 30km days carrying 20lbs is just too hard on the body at this early stage of the journey.  

Rich has been such a blessing on this trip getting directions to our lodging and navigating with the maps. I did a lot of that last year and it's nice to get a break this year. Thanks Camino amigo.
